| Edmund Jr. took classes at RISD; eventually decided he didn't want to be a chaser -- saw all those men tapping away and knew he didn't want to do it too. After Providence he went to Attleboro, then to Filene's in Boston. ELL Jr. spent his life in retail, which he loved ('he could sell ice to Eskimos'). From Filene's he went to Baltimore (where Elizabeth was born), then Brooklyn, ending as assistant manager of G. Fox in Hartford. |
